Hollow core motors, also called hollow cup motors or ironless core motors, are often used in cell phone camera focusing systems for autofocus and optical stabilization.
In the autofocus system hollow motor realizes the focusing function by driving the lens group back and forth along the direction of the optical axis.
Utilizing the high response speed and precise control of the motor, the camera is able to focus on the target object quickly and accurately.
Secondly, in the optical stabilization system, the hollow motor quickly adjusts the position of the lens to compensate for the displacement caused by hand shaking, thus improving the clarity of photos.
This is especially important when shooting video or long exposure photos, and can significantly reduce image blur.
Hollow motors are used directly in the autofocus system of cell phone cameras.
